Second US Civil War: Is it Coming?

second us civil war election 2012 The last time our nation was this divided, people took up arms against one another and seceded from the United States.  Today’s election signals either a slowdown of the plummet we have experienced or the acceleration.  Either way, the ship is going down.  But is there a Second US Civil War coming?

Regardless, at this point, the collapse of the US economy is undeniable.  It is only a matter of how that will pan out, but it is most likely to be an ugly affair if the rumors of riots if Romney wins are true.  But why is it coming now, and not all the times before?

Why is a Second US Civil War inevitable?

A second US Civil War is unavoidable because people have been polarized for many years, and now people are really beginning to struggle to put food on their plates and roofs over their heads.  In years past, it was simply an ideological struggle.  Now, though, it is a matter of just getting through the day and past the bill collectors.

When people realize that the change that they’ve sought for so long is never going to happen, people are going to be upset.  There’s just no two ways about it.  People have been riding high on the hopes that maybe—just maybe—this will be the guy who finally fixes what is wrong with this country.

But the reality is that the GOP and Democratic parties have both become parties of big government.  When people don’t want big government, they are going to rebel against that.  When that happens, the government cracks down, and people push back harder.  The cycle repeats, and things fall into chaos.  This time, though, it isn’t going to be citizen against citizen.  In the Second US Civil War, it will be citizen versus government.

Some might be asking how that is possible, since the people that work for the government are citizens too.  However, the government can be very persuasive when they use violence on top of rewards for obedience.  Yet some people—the real Americans—won’t be swayed by favors or threats.  Instead, they will fight tooth and nail against the ones who took a wonderful and beautiful thing and corrupted it into an aberration of “democracy.”

Expect to see similar events to those in Syria if that does happen to pan out.  If there is one thing that Americans have never stood for, it’s getting pushed around.  Well, the government has pushed for a long time now, and it looks like people are getting ready to push back from both sides of the isle.  Will there be a Second US Civil War?  Maybe not tonight, maybe not tomorrow, next month, or the next six months—but it will come, and it will come during our lifetimes.  America is a tolerant place, but not so much of police states.  Sadly, that is what we have become, and what will be our undoing.
